I know what you’re thinking – not another smoothie recipe – especially when it’s freezing outside – but this is tooooo good to pass up. This strawberry mango protein smoothie is my current obsession. I don’t know about your family but breakfast isn’t my families favorite meal. No one is very hungry at 6:30am and not being a morning person a smoothie is just about all I’m capable of whipping up. Which is good news as we get to enjoy this:) For something that tastes so delicious it’s surprisingly good for you. An eminent “health” doctor touts eating a cup of berries a day for longevity – job done with the strawberries in this smoothie! Then comes the protein with plenty of yogurt and milk which makes it deliciously creamy. You can of course make this vegan – coconut milk/yogurt is extra great here, then finish it off with a nice big scoop of protein powder for good measure, I like Vega or Sun Warrior. Very easy, super delicious and very nutritious:)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup frozen mango
- ⅓ cup plain or vanilla yogurt, dairy or coconut
- 1 cup milk, dairy or coconut
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and blitz!
- Pour into a tall glass and enjoy.
