I have to say I’m excited to make this statement! Yes, it does coincide nicely with the New Year too. I’ve gone back and forth with veganism over the years, indeed you’ll find lots of lovely vegan recipes on this blog, but I’ve never really, truly, absolutely 100% committed. And that’s what it takes I think, along with information, knowledge and planning. So this time I’m arming myself with as many books, blogs and online courses as I can to inspire, encourage and keep me on track when I’m wavering. I’m not interested in plain nondescript food, I’m interested in beauty, deliciousness and the very best in class of the plant world. As an enthusiastic home cook that’s what I intend to create in my kitchen everyday – a little bit of plant magic which I want to share with you.
Why am I going vegan? It’s the big three:
There is a ton of medical research backing up the benefits of a plant based diet. Start with these The Last Heart Attack
and What the Health.
2. Animal welfare:
If you’re a committed carnivore I hope you’ll continue to visit and just enjoy some inspired veggie recipes, after all everyone needs more veggies in their life. If you’re thinking about becoming vegan I’ll share the resources I find most helpful along with my tips for success.
Here’s to a happy, healthy and beautifully vegan New Year.
